Set up in 2006, Revamp has gone from strength to strength. The tiger was still alive and bigger builders weren't interested in smaller jobs. I saw a niche in the market- Five hundred flyers were distributed around Naas and a small client base was built up. With no paid printed advertising since, 90% of my clients can be traced back to those original flyers and word of mouth, the final 10% falling victim to my seductive and breathtaking website and/or van! Thanks to anyone who has recommended me.
If this is as far as you are planning to go on my website and you are already bored and making your way to the 'x' at the top right, I would urge you to check out some of my delicious 'Before and After' pictures in the 'Projects' page. If you need to save time, skip the 'Services' and 'About Us' pages, they aren't great anyway.
Over the last few years, I have been surprised by the number of houses where Irish is spoken daily. When I have encountered this, I have tried to revive my cúpla focal and interact as Gaeilge. I recently became aware of a new scheme, Cill Dara le Gaeilge, where businesses are encouraged to demonstrate a willingness to interact in Irish. As in my case, fluency is not a prerequisite for those wishing to participate in the scheme. Níl ach cúpla focal agam, ach i mo thuairim, is maith an rud é Gaeilge a labhairt níos minice, ní amháin sna scoileanna. Beatha teanga í a labhairt!
Feel free to try out your cúpla focal with me. I cannot guarantee to be able to discuss all aspects of business as Gaeilge, but I can promise to give it my best shot. If you would like quotations and/or invoices to be issued in Irish/bilingually, please ask and I will be happy to provide them.
