A boiler service typically contains work on the "dry side" of the boiler, i.e. cleaning out the combustion chamber, changing the spray nozzle, adjusting the oil pressure, measuring and calibrating the flue gasses and boiler optimisation. Every so often, the boiler technician will see a problem on the "wet side". The wet side is the central heating side involving water in pipework and often the client will be told a plumber will be needed. If you get your boiler serviced with Revamp, you will pay no more than with another service technician, but you will get the benefit of someone with experience of all areas.

This picture shows such a case where the central heating pump was damaged with debris in it. In theory, the pump can be isolated with the valves on each side so that the central heating doesn't need to be drained down. In this case also, the valves were passing water and needed to be changed also. This turned out much more economic for the client involved.
